2009 World Water Week in Stockholm
Responding to Global Change: Accessing Water for the Common Good
The Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) hosts the World Water Week, which is the leading annual global meeting place for the planet’s water issues. The week focuses on capacity-building, partnership-developing and follow-up on implementation of international processes and programme in water and development. It provides a unique forum for the exchange of views and experiences between the scientific, business, policy and civic communities.

SIWI invites you to submit workshop abstracts as well as proposals for seminars and side events for the 2009 World Water Week, from August 16-22. The theme for 2009 will be “Accessing Water for the Common Good”, which is the first year under a new three-year niche entitled “Water – Responding to Global Changes.” In addition, a Special Focus will be put on Transboundary Waters in 2009.
Please read the First Announcement available here for more information on the theme, purpose and scope of the 2009 World Water Week, how the week is structured and how to submit workshop abstracts and propose seminars and side events.
