The Women’s Global Call for Climate Justice is a global campaign organized collectively by a group of regionally diverse women’s rights and feminist organizations, brought together by the urgent need for just action on climate change. Since it’s launch, the Campaign has become a platform for hundreds of women’s rights organizations and thousands of women activists and allies to demand climate justice.

    We stand with Women for Climate Justice at the PCM!

    On Saturday, April 29th thousands of individuals will mobilize in Washington, D.C. and across the United States and the world for the 2017 People's Climate March (PCM) for Climate, Jobs & Justice. The Women's Global Call for Climate Justice (WGCCJ) Campaign strongly supports the Women for Climate Justice (WCJ) Contingent at the PCM. Today, we ask YOU to join us in amplifying the WCJ demands this weekend and beyond by signing our petition here: https://action.manifesta.net/p/womenclimatejusticePCM The Women's Global Call for Climate Justice and the WCJ Contingent call for: An end to climate denialism, extractive economies & fossil fuel industry Women's rights, indigenous peoples rights, rural community rights, immigrant rights, LGBTQI rights to be at the core of all climate policies and action A just and equitable transition that includes access to safe, just and renewable energy and decent work opportunities for women while redistributing care work We will march as a diverse, intersectional coalition of women's groups, climate justice organizations, and allies with a strong voice and demands that will echo beyond the march. The signatories of this petition will be added to the WGCCJ Statement of Solidarity and shared via social media to amplify our demands and highlight our commitment to climate justice.

    Rise Up! Women for Climate Justice at the 2017 #WomensMarch

    On Saturday, January 21st, 2017 the day after the U.S. presidential inauguration, thousands of women will gather in Washington D.C. to stand up for our rights, our safety, our health, our families and our communities. A coalition of diverse organizations and individuals will unite and march as a 'Women for Climate Justice' contingent during the Women's March on Washington to stand for the health of our Earth and our global communities.     AIWC Implements 20 Programs for #womenclimatejustice

    All India Women's Conference (AIWC) successfully completed all 20 programs as part of their work for the Women's Global Call for Climate Justice campaign re-grant partnership. These programs were conduced in different states of India and collected thousands of individual endorsements during their educational and awareness raising workshops. Prior to COP21, AIWC had conducted 6 programs with a focus on the UNFCCC and the Paris Agreement. The remaining workshops focused on the outcome of the Paris Agreement, the assessment of the Women and Gender Constituency and implementation. Several of the AIWC branches that participated in the workshops have started allied activities aimed at mitigation and adaptation. They are also closely working with local governments for getting gender responsive policies implemented.
