Le Festival VidéEau est un concours international de spots vidéo organisé par le Secrétariat international de l’eau (SIE) en vue des Rencontres Internationales « Eau et Cinéma » qui se tiendront à Istanbul en 2009, dans le cadre du 5ième Forum Mondial de l’eau. Il s’insère dans le projet Lacs et rivières en fête, un processus de sensibilisation et d’implication des jeunes en faveur de la coopération internationale citoyenne pour l’eau au Québec et partout dans le monde.

Le Festival VidéEau invite les jeunes de 17 à 30 ans à soumettre des spots vidéo de 90 secondes et moins sur le thème « L’eau, l’humain et le développement durable». Il se clôturera en 2008 par l’annonce et la présentation des gagnants lors du Congrès Mondial des Jeunes, qui se tiendra dans la ville de Québec (Canada) du 10 au 21 août 2008.

Les gagnants du Festival VidéEau seront automatiquement sélectionnés pour la compétition officielle des Rencontres Internationales « Eau et Cinéma ».

The Festival VidéEau is an international competition for video clips organized by the International Secretariat for Water (ISW), in preparation for the International "Water and Film" Events that will take place in Istanbul in 2009, within the context of the 5th World Water Forum. It is also a part of the "Celebration of Lakes and Rivers" project, a process to raise awareness and involve young people in international citizenship and cooperation for water in Quebec and around the world.

The Festival VidéEau invites young people aged from 17 to 30, to submit 90 second or shorter video clips on the theme "Water, People and Sustainable Development". The winners of the competition will be announced at a prize-giving ceremony to be held during the World Youth Congress, taking place in Quebec, Canada, from 10 to 21 August 2008.

The winners of the Festival VidéEau will automatically be selected for the official competition of the International "Water and Film" Events.
